I believe that every aspect of the production process is crucial to the finished product; every part of the guitar serves a purpose. I control every point of production:- selecting the finest woods, preparing each part of the guitar, assembling and then finishing.
I use machinery for certain parts, what I consider the 'Donkey work' but the crucial and more detailed parts I produce using my own two hands and a sharp tool, utilising methods that are steeped in history and tradition. From the use of hot hide glue to using a string/wedge system instead of heavy clamps, I feel like the whole production process is poetic in the sense that I am using ancient practices to perfect a modern guitar.
I aim to produce guitars that will be enjoyed for years to come while keeping history in mind.
